Stealing Cinderella

I leaned in towards those pictures to get a better look at one
When I heard a voice behind me say "Now, ain't she something, son?"
I said "Yes, she quite a woman" and he just stared at me
Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be

Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes i'm Prince Charming
But to him i'm just some fella riding in and stealing Cinderella

Teni is a very beautiful young woman. I though you might enjoy seeing some of her bridal photos. The pictures are unique (rock climbing, fields, etc.) just like her. We are blessed to have her as part of our family. Be sure to play the Chuck Wicks song while watching the slideshow. One day I will learn how to be more efficient and professional with this blog, but for now.........

Spring Break 2009 Hiking in Southern, UT

"Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children."
*Ancient Indian Proverb

This spring break was spent with Jeff and Carol Kennedy and family, friends from our ward, backpacking in Southern Utah. We spent weeks packing and preparing. I ran every night to get in shape. I asked Carol, “How many miles are we going to hike”? She answered, “It’s not the amount of miles but the difficulty of those miles.” And boy, was she right! We headed out on a desert trail near Esalante, UT in Grand Staircase National Monument. We hiked and explored for a week. We saw remarkable landscapes, beautiful flowers, and hints of Indians from the past. It was a wonderful trip that we will remember for a lifetime. Here are a few of your favorite pictures.

Redneck Christmas

I know that this is really out of season, but I always wanted to post it but just never got around to it. This is "regular" life at the Eardleys. I am sure you will see sure signs of "Rednecks" in this Christmas 2008 video. Enjoy the redneck kids.
